1. HOW DO YOU
RESTORE MY PHOTOS?
I use digital restoration methods so your
original photographs are never altered or harmed in any way. You can attach your
scanned photograph HERE
and add an explanation of what you would like done. When the restoration process
is complete, we store the image onto a CD for you.

2. WHAT KIND
OF RESTORATION CAN YOU DO? WHAT CAN'T YOU DO?
I can repair and restore MOST
old or damaged photographs, and can also remove MOST tears, holes, stains,
marks, blemishes, wrinkles and creases. I can enhance, colour correct or
brighten photos. I can also recreate *most* missing details in a photo (faces
and hands can be difficult, but not impossible). If the photo is small then
enlarging it can become grainy and slightly out of focus. If a photo is out of
focus, I can not bring it back into focus.
I can improve poor originals, but
would not be able to make them
perfect if they are out of focus.

3. HOW SHOULD I SEND MY PICTURES TO
YOU? CAN I SEND SCANS?
I would prefer a digital image or a
high quality scanned photograph
(Please
view this information on scanning
photographs)
this way we can get to work quicker on
your photo. If for some reason you do
not have a digital copy of the
photograph, and do not have a scanner or
access to a scanning service locally, I
would reluctantly accept a copy in the
post, but it would have to be at your
own risk, as the postal service do lose
items, and when it is something as
irreplaceable as a photograph, it is
taking quite a risk.
When posting photographs to us
please place photo/s between two
pieces of cardboard or similar
protection. The cardboard should be
a bit larger than the largest photo.
Please read the scanning tips link
above. Most towns and photo labs can
scan photographs for you and add
them onto a disk, just make sure to
tell them they have to be scanned at
a minimum of 300dpi.

4. ARE MY PICTURES IN DANGER OF ANY
ADDITIONAL DAMAGE?
As I do not work on the original
photograph if it is sent by email
there will be no additional damage
made as I am working on the digital
file. If you decide to post it to
me, as long as you have packaged it
correctly when sending to me, there
will be no extra damage, as I work
on the digital file. This is at your
own risk.

5. HOW LONG BEFORE I RECEIVE MY
RESTORED PHOTOS?
Once I receive your photo I endeavour to
reply with a quote within 24 hours maximum and if you agree to the quote I will
send you an invoice, you then make the payment, and I will get to work on it as
soon as possible.
When i have completed it, it will be emailed to you, with a
watermark on it and slightly reduced quality for your approval. Most orders are
completed within 5 working days, unless it needs quite a lot of work doing on
it.
If there is something
that you don't like or want changed we will change it for
you, (included in the price) If for whatever reason you are
still not happy with it, then we will refund your payment in
full, even though this has never happened to us yet.
If you are happy with the
finished photograph, we will then removed the watermark,
restore the quality, and email it back to you in what ever
format you would like.

6. HOW MUCH WILL MY PHOTO
RESTORATION COST? HOW DO I PAY YOU?
This depends on the amount of work to be done
on the photograph. There is a price ‘guide’
HERE.
(top of page)
7. WHAT INSTRUCTIONS SHOULD I
SEND WITH MY PICTURES?
If you are posting the photos to us, then
please use the Print Order Form giving us contact information, number of images
in the package, payment information, and detailed instructions on what you would
like doing. If you are emailing the photograph, then please fill out the email
form.

8. WHAT KIND OF PRINTS WILL I
RECEIVE?
Since our work is done in a digital format on
computer, rather than in a traditional darkroom with processing chemicals, we
print out pictures on special six-colour digital photo printers. The paper I use
is archival-quality photo papers.
You will receive a 6x4 glossy
photograph free with the restoration, and if you would like additional prints,
then please view the price ‘guide’
HERE.

9. HOW CAN I SEE OR USE THE PHOTOS ON THE ARCHIVE CD?
You will also receive a CD with the original photograph, the restored photograph
and a reduced quality jpeg for websites or email to friends and family.
